Display packaging

There are more and more products being sold in the self-service system in department stores and shops. As a result, goods have to sell themselves. Packaging therefore has to take on numerous selling tasks. The display function is not merely restricted to presenting the product, but: Figure 1.

  • to promoting purchase,
  • systemizing products,
  • arousing the shoppers interest,
  • reflecting the companys image and brand.

Our displays can be listed in two main groups:

  • One is the shelf display, which fulfills the transport and display roles, in being assembled in the point of sale, as the display function. There is a so-called crown that can be folded out from the top, or a perforated section that is removable. Because it is small, it can be placed on stores' shelves and trolleys. Small specific-weight goods can have a separate selling place in the store by placing relatively large receiving boxes onto each other. Figure 2., Figure 3.
  • The other main group is the floor-display family exclusively satisfying the display function. These products can also fulfill several functions, their size often complies with EUR palettes. They have their own pedestals Figure 4., Figure 5.
A product family is often suited to both presentation and selling. Their common features are large advertising surface, high quality and aesthetic printing.
