Dunapack Ltd. is owned by the Hamburger Group, which is controlled by the Austrian industrialist Thomas Prinzhorn. In 1990 the leading Hungarian paper processor, with many decades of experience, was transformed into an Austrian-Hungarian joint venture. The transformation and the effects of privatization, which ended in 1995, converted the company into a corporate group with a revamped organizational structure and an international background in paper production and processing. The company operates a service organization that is able to meet or exceed market requirements. The company is one of the largest paper and packaging material manufacturers in Central and Eastern Europe.

Dunapack Ltd. is Hungary's largest manufacturer of paper products and packaging materials. The company consists of the Corrugated Division, the Packaging Paper Plant, and the Nyregyhza Plant. It has a staff of 1,290 and produces 170,000 tons of paper and 130,000 tons of packaging materials worth approximately US $170 million. The company has significant interests in companies active in the manufacturing of cellulose and wood-free printing and writing paper, paper and spiral tubes, folders, and waste paper collection and processing. The company's most important products are corrugated base paper and corrugated products such as pre-printed or laminated boxes, which are also excellent advertising media. High extensible sack papers and the sacks and bags made out of them are also sold in large quantities.

The use of environmentally friendly technologies and the most limited possible utilization of primary resources rank high among the company's priorities. The integration of the company provides its partners with long-term advantages.

Each of the company's units operates in compliance with the ISO 9000 international quality standards and an environmental control system compliant with ISO 14000 is currently in the design phase.
