Two sides of the coin, or what quality means

The ISO 9000 Forum´s visit to the Corrugated Plant in Csepel

Headed by Dr. József TAR, the organization agglomerates firms, which hold system certification. Over the last decade, one of the fundamental objectives of this Forum with approximately 500 members was to introduce companies that have achieved excellence in quality and have been awarded accordingly. Like the one taking place in our plant on 10 April, the discussions not only communicate good news, but by the transfer of professional information could serve as an example to the visitors.

This meeting was broken down into sessions, with nearly 50 individuals attending. Chaired by Plant Director András BOROS, one of the groups discussed the measures taken in response to a customer satisfaction survey and its results on the customer side, while the other group listened to Quality Manager Zsuzsanna PUSZTAI´s presentation on how the IT system supports work.

Those attending acknowledged the results of the day, with many expressing their appreciation for the opportunity. So, the plant visit proved a success despite the fact that heaps of waste had to be pulled out of the visitors´ way where the sun shines because of a waste shredder happening to break down at the moment - where irrespective of similar happenings an ordered working environment and cleanliness are becoming increasingly critical issues. It is therefore not expedient to wait until a critical (e.g., food industry) customer cancelled his orders because of this. As pressure from the public or a manager´s role model can be a cure for other complaints, this issue too can only be resolved through internal initiative and common thinking - Zsuzsanna PUSZTAI explained in her report on the event.
