Successful upgrade of paper machine No. 3 in Dunaújváros
The Dunaújváros team of Csomagolópapírgyár executed a successful upgrade project on paper machine No. 3 in late February-early March. The following units were modified and/or replaced with new ones in the project:
- A new headbox was installed, featuring dilution cross direction basis weight control.
- Material preparation, the paper machine drive, and our own waste system have been expanded.
- Web printing and strapping have been upgraded.
- The process control computer has also been upgraded.
Even by European standards, the reconstruction took place remarkably quickly, in just seven days, thanks to thorough and careful preparation and planning. During the stoppage the project participants supervised and organized the work in a harmonized and efficient way, relying upon experience gained through previous projects of such nature.
As a result of this project worth nearly HUF 1 billion the paper has become smoother and the Company can more confidently meet the customers´ requirements for consistent paper properties and quality.
