The Marketing Department registered nearly 80 inquirers on that frosty April 8th morning, which shows just how close a relationship our sales people have managed to establish with our partners dealing with packaging and purchasing. On account of the good turn-out, guests were divided into two groups, with the same program being presented at different venues.

As Imre HOPKA, Sales Director, said in his welcoming speech, these events were formerly called professional consulting days, but when we realized how much advice we manufacturers received from the customers at such events, we felt it would be more appropriate to call them ½Open Days½ instead.

In his presentation, Zoltán STARCZ, Technical Customer Service Associate, provided insight into the history of papermaking and the secrets of the packaging profession, and drew the customers´ attention to ways of transforming packaging conditions through common effort, in a way that allows our partners to realize the most benefits, since cost-effective packaging costs less.

 Afterwards, we showed the guests our machines and production halls, so they could see how and under what conditions the products they order from us are made, how prepared our colleagues and how complex the computerized systems are that ensure that the product reaches the customer´s site on time and in the desired quality.

After the plant visit Angelika SARUDY, System Administrator, and Zsuzsa ZSEBÕ, Marketing Manager, demonstrated the Internet-based  Dunapack Web WP system to encourage those partners that have not yet enjoyed the benefits of electronic commerce to take advantage of the opportunity.
Who would have thought a few years ago that our customers would be able to use a password to enter a database managed by us, see what quantities are held in stock for them, when their next order is going to be completed, and what bills still remain outstanding, as well as place orders and forward shipping dispositions with a simple click of the mouse.

Dunapack Rt. was the first company in Hungary to offer electronic trade facilities for placing corrugated packaging orders, and this is greatly appreciated by our customers.

The major turn-out and interest on the part of our customers is also proof of the event´s success. And they may have sensed how open and collaborative our company is in meeting customer requirements as completely as possible.
