The Hamburger Group has concluded the final contracts for refitting paper machine No. 4 in its plant in Pitten, Austria.
Dywidag is expanding the building in order to accommodate the larger paper machine. Works will begin in early February and will be completed in late August.
As opposed to purchasing a new unit, Hamburger decided to expand two of its three existing preparation lines. The units will be supplied by SHS.
Voith will supply a new screen and press section and a new roll cutter for the line. The project is planned to be completed in early 2004, increasing the machine´s test liner capacity from 200,000 tons to 260,000 tons per year.
