Dunaujvaros, October 14, 2008 (MTI-ECONEWS) - Hamburger Hungaria held a topping-out ceremony on Tuesday at a HUF 50bn packaging materials plant it is building in Dunaujvaros.
The plant will start production next July, turning out an annual 400,000 tonnes of packaging material from half a million tonnes of waster paper a year, or the entire amount Hungary is required to recycle under an EU directive, said project manager Attila Bencs. It will employ a staff of about 280.
The plant is expected to generate annual revenue of EUR 140m-150m.
Thomas Prinzhorn, who owns the Prinzhorn group, which includes Hamburger Hungaria, as well as Hungarian peer Dunapack, attended the topping-out ceremony.
