Inauguration of Central and Eastern Europe’s most state-of-the-art paper mill in Dunaújváros, Hungary

Central and Eastern Europe’s most state-of-the-art paper mill located in Dunaújváros, Hungary was inaugurated on Friday when Hungary’s Prime Minister Gordon Bajnai and the owner, Thomas Prinzhorn pressed a symbolic button.
The investment costs for the mill which uses the latest technology amounted to EUR 200 million, from which the Hungarian government provided support worth some EUR 14 million.

In Hungary Dunapack, which operates subsidiaries in five neighbouring countries, deals with the collection of waste paper, and the manufacturing of packaging materials and corrugated products. As a member firm of the owner Prinzhorn Holding, the Company closed 2008 as its second most successful year, with earnings of HUF 5.3 billion.
