The year 2009 brought along significant changes in the operation and structure of Dunapack Paper and Packaging Ltd resulting in the restructuring of our company.

Dunapack Ltd - the largest paper based packaging producer in Hungary - stopped paper production in Csepel at the end of May 2009. Parallel to this, a new, fully waste paper based paper machine with most modern technology started operation in Dunaújváros in June 2009. The new paper machine (PM7) with three times higher production capacity than the capacity of the stopped machines had been is to be taking over paper productions from Csepel. The production start of PM7 was a milestone in the life of Hamburger Hungária Kft the youngest member of the Austrian Prinzhorn Holding. At the same time it launched significant shift in the business structure of Dunapack Ltd. From now on Dunapack Ltd internationally well known for its excellent paper and packaging material production is focusing on its future core activity namely corrugated packaging. All the paper productions are to be carried out in the future, exclusively by its sister company Hamburger Hungária Kft also belonging to the Prinzhorn Group. In line with above mentioned restructuring of operations the legal structure is also changing. Only corrugated plants and their subsidiaries will remain under the name of Dunapack Ltd. The company itself will be acting on the market under the trade name "Dunapack Packaging" as one unit of Prinzhorn Holding's Packaging Division. All the other corrugated plants of the Packaging Division in Central and Eastern Europe took over the same trade name.
