Energy use

Paper making has always involved substantial energy use. On the papermaking machines, much heat is needed to evaporate the water content of the paper during the drying stage, and high-power pumps and motors are required to convey the large quantities of water and pulp, so that electric power consumption is also high. For both economic and environmental reasons, raising energy efficiency has been a high priority at Dunapack for several years.
