Environmental report

Production in Dunaújváros started in 1976, using the most advanced machinery available at the time. The combined production of the two sites amounted to nearly 87,000 tons in 2003. As a result of recent years’ improvements, the products made here now not only serve protective and shipping functions at a high standard, but meet the strict requirements of our customers even aesthetically. Advanced flexographic printing on the product surfaces can produce excellent prints ranging from simple goods protection symbols to high-quality, multi-colored advertising images.

The Nyíregyháza Paper Factory (PC3) produces and processes corrugated products apart from manufacturing sacks and bags. Overall production exceeded 58,000 tons in 2003. In addition to 3 and 5-ply boards in various configurations, it is also possible to produce even 7-ply boards inside the corporate group. Apart from these, we also produce paper bags perfectly suited to packing granulated and powder materials and single and double-ply paper bags of various designs, ply numbers, paper quality and weight. Various pleasing designs can be printed onto the products to ´dress them up´.

All units of the Company use only environmentally-friendly and recyclable raw and auxiliary materials for its products. We run computer-supported quality management and environmental management systems, and for several years have been carrying out self-assessment, using the European Foundation for Quality Management Model (EFQM).

Our subsidiary Duparec Ltd. is the country’s largest enterprise dealing with the collection and wholesale trade of packaging waste paper. Thus it plays a key role in recycling paper-based packaging wastes and fulfilling the relevant EU provisions.
